  • What are the data sources used on fDi Benchmark? more
    • fDi Benchmark sources its content from a number of leading global data sources, including the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, Dun & Bradstreet, Towers Watson, the Economist Intelligence Unit and the Financial Times. less

  • How often is the data updated? more
    • Our data is updated on a quarterly or annual basis, depending on the specific data point. Data newly released by our sources is typically updated on fDi Benchmark within one month. less

  • How many locations are covered in the tool? more
    • fDi Benchmark currently covers over 600 locations. Note that new locations can be added to the platform depending on data availability – a subscriber just needs to contact the fDi Benchmark team and we will then advise whether this is feasible. Adding a new location generally takes 2- 6 weeks. less

  • How can you use the data? more
    • Different clients have different needs. Some of our corporate clients use the tool to help inform their location assessment process. Investment promotion agencies often use fDi Benchmark to create or support their marketing material; to view their relative strengths and weaknesses; or to respond to investors’ enquiries. Consultancies use the platform to quickly reply to potential and existing clients, as well as proactively construct business cases for their clients.

      The data on fDi Benchmark can be downloaded in multiple formats – for example export charts are available in PNG, JPEG and PDF. You can also easily create a customised PPT presentation, including your own cover page and contact details. less

  • What support will you get? more
    • Every client receives a dedicated account manager, who will train and support the users of the platform throughout their subscription. less

  • Can you access the tool from more than one device? more
    • A user can access fDi Benchmark from any number of personal computers, laptops or tablets – as long as s/he has a current subscription. fDi Benchmark is sold by number of licences - one licence per user. You cannot share one licence between two users. less

  • Can the brochures be provided in different languages? more
    • All brochures are provided in English as standard. We can also provide brochures on different languages - there is a 20% additional charge per language for the re-design of brochure. Typically the translation is conducted by our clients but we can also organise this service, charged at cost. less
